Product Description

The Weldplas CNC cutting table is a versatile plasma and gas machine that is ideal for everyday industrial plasma cutting.

The Weldplas can plasma cut from 1mm to 25mm thick. This is increased up to 150mm thick for mild steel when the CNC machine is fitted with an optional gas cutting head. It can be paired with single phase or three phase plasma packs, and the integral watertray provides an effective method of fume capture.

Setting up a gas cutting head can be challenging for new operators so our automatic system uses a proportional gas pressure valve to adjust the preheat and cut oxygen pressure. The system will automatically set the preheat time and pressure with a teachable facility for use with a cold or hot plate. The system will perform a cut ramp on thicker steel, gradually increasing the pressure and speed of the cut during the pierce cycle. This reduces the risk of blowback blocking the cutting nozzle.

The separate cutting bed can be floor mounted to give the maximum versatility for any CNC machine. The bed can be adapted to suit many cutting applications, such as cutting very thick slab material or positioning a digger bucket directly under the machine for cutting. In addition, a modified bed can be fitted to allow the cutting of large box sections.

Its heavy-duty box section frame and mild steel rails make the Weldplas a robust plasma and gas cutting machine. It’s suitable for the harshest of environments, including heavy fabrication shops, shipyards and steel mills.

Machine Setup and Safety

  • Setup
    • Our engineers will assess the power requirements for your machine. They will specify which services are required and their locations.
    • This WeldPlas machine is shipped with the rails disassembled. Our engineers will position the rails and bolt them to the floor. The machine is then fitted to the rails and the cutting bed is installed. After connecting the services the machine will be tested.
    • A Weldfast engineer will take you through the safety features of the machine and train your operators, so they can safely operate the machine and get the best out of it. Once our engineer has completed the final calibration checks, you can then sign off the machine.
    • If required, an engineer will make a second visit to continue the operator training and demonstrate the software’s advanced features.

  • Software
    • The Techserv CNC software is designed specifically for profile cutting and is fitted to all our new machines as standard
    • File types accepted: Essi, Word address, NC ( Strucad) DXF and many others
    • Nesting: Array and true shape nesting built in
    • Wide range of standard shapes including rings, flanges and blanks
    • Customisable shapes with save and edit facility
    • Optional line following scanner for drawn shapes
    • Multi-axis 64 bit motion control
    • Position accuracy +/- 0.01 mm
    • Full circular interpolation axis control
    • Built-in magnetic breakaway for collision control

  • Safety
    • Machine mounted emergency stop buttons for operator safety
    • Waterbed fume control

Testimonials

"We bought our HQC machine from Techserv 4 years ago and have nothing but positive things to say. From the first phone call we had right up to the current after-sales support, the team have always answered any queries and helped with developments to improve our processes. The machine itself is an amazing bit of kit and we'd be lost without it."

James
Skipton Sheet Metal

"Techserv took on the challenge of building and installing a large waterjet into a very small studio space for us. Their team have exceptional engineering expertise, and offer a friendly and helpful service alongside this. We would highly recommend Techserv."

Joely
