With over 1,500 installations worldwide, producing anything from artwork to aircraft carriers, the TechServ CNC system is proven and reliable. It is fitted to all new TechServ CNC machines as standard and can also be supplied as a retrofit kit.

  • Jump To Part: Touching a part will cause the machine to move to that point and commence cutting.

  • Full Graphical Display with Zoom: Provides a clear visual representation of the cutting path and progress.

  • Lost Cut Recovery: Allows jobs to be paused and resumed without losing progress.
  • Forward and Reverse Along Cut Path: Steel warms up when cut and can flex when the manufacturing stresses are removed. This can cause the plasma or gas cutting stream to be extinguished. Pressing the backup button causes the machine to reverse along the cutting path so that the cut can be re-established, reducing scrap and maintaining cut quality.

TechServ Support and Training

As we design and build our systems in-house, we can offer an instant response to any issues. With full remote access to your CNC’s PC we can also offer live support and training services too. With a built-in feature that allows you to share your CNC machine’s setup data with the press of a button, it can be emailed to our UK-based technical team, allowing us to analyse and diagnose any issues remotely.

Advanced Functionalities

TechServ’s 'Super Hole' automatically applies advanced cutting algorithms to give high-quality holes with any plasma, on any material with most CNC files, DXF or flexi shape.

The standard hole lead in and lead out is removed and replaced with a 180° arc lead in and an arc lead out. The cutting speed is reduced and the height sense is frozen. At the 350° point, the plasma is turned off and the motion continues to blend the cut to a smooth finish with virtually no start-stop marking and minimum taper.

Effortless configuration. Simply input the material thickness and our system automatically adjusts the cutting speed and height sense settings for optimal performance. No need to consult tables or manually enter complex numbers.

Flame cutting made easy. When flame cutting, the system automatically sets the correct gas pressures. Just attach the nozzle, ignite the gas, trim the flames, and start cutting.

TechServ's Fast Pierce accelerates part production by optimising the piercing process. Our system intelligently determines the plate thickness and adjusts the cutting speed accordingly, ensuring precise and efficient piercing.

To minimise downtime between cuts, we've implemented a rapid lift-traverse-drop-fire cycle for short distances. This streamlined process reduces wasted time and significantly speeds up part production.

Need a custom shape? Our system offers a wide range of pre-designed flexible shapes for common construction elements, like rings, flanges and blanks. Plus, we've included specialised shapes for industries like construction, such as finger plates and beam splitting.

Create your own. If you can't find the exact shape you need, our system lets you design and save custom shapes for future use.

No programming required. Once you've selected or created your shape, our system automatically generates the necessary cutting instructions.

How Our CNC Software Enhances Your Workflow

Although it can sound fairly basic – you load a shape, you cut it – there’s more to it: dynamically moving shapes around, manipulating data, choosing shapes out of nests, the automatic set up of gas pressures and plasma controls. We remove that complexity, making the system easy to operate and giving the operator the functions they need, such as reverse along the path, jump to part etc. - functions not always present on generic controllers.

Our priority is ease of operation and a control system that seems simple. People tend to think it looks overly simple; in reality, the complexity is there, but only when you need it.

Select the material thickness, type, and the cutting current you want to use and the system sets up all other parameters automatically. This includes cutting speed, initial height, cutting height, pierce delay, arc voltage etc. Also, when flame cutting, the gas pressures are automatically set using a program gas pressure valve. Cutting speed can be varied as you work, along with all height sense parameters, oxygen pressure etc.
The CNC system produces a daily log file, detailing most functions, including cut on, gas on, job running, job name, screen name and more. Data is logged per second and an end-of-line viewing programme gives an easy-to-read view of any day's activities, as well as a job list with timings.
The CNC system has comprehensive diagnostics and test screens allowing all functions to be confirmed, including reconfigurable inputs and outputs.
Using the pop-up jog panel, parts can be moved around the plate in test mode and placed in the correct position. This feature is ideal if you’re cutting an irregular material or the parts are a tight fit on the plate.

Automatic nesting fills plates with minimal wastage, allowing multiple parts to be cut from a sheet. Row and column array nesting with adjustable scrap allowance make the best use of the plate.

Cut One part: Complex nests can be imported to the controller and individual parts selected by tapping the relevant part on the screen. This is useful for when a part has been damaged or lost.

Import programmes from a wide range of systems including ESSI, Word Address, GCode, Strucad (NC1), DXF etc. Parts can be previewed prior to selection and then rotated, mirrored and scaled if necessary.
Each process features a manual cut screen with cut on/off control, multi-direction jog and height sense. Traverse speed and cut speed is controlled automatically.
Jobs can be halted during the cut and restarted at a later date. This useful feature allows urgent parts to be cut when the machine is tied up during a large nest, or can be used if the cutting has to be stopped for any other reason.
